The fall of the Soviet Union is exactly what it sounds like. The Soviet Union became split into fifteen different countries. The main reason why the Soviet Union fell was their oil and gas revenue. Which caused the younger generation ,who were poverty, to not trust the Soviet Union. This generation did not want to be in a communist government. There was a revolution in Poland inspired others to have revolutions as well. Which eventually lead to the fall of the Berlin wall. This is significant because it was the fall of one of the sides. Meaning the democracy and capitalism won and communism lost. The coloring is blue because the U.S won the Cold War by default after the Soviet Union fell.
