Description:
The first of many mass conflicts between the patrician class (landed gentry) and the plebeian class (commoners). Plebeians left Rome en masse and set up camp at the Mons Sacer (Sacred Mountain) by the recommedation of Lucius Sicinius Vellutus. This set the precedent for later acts of popular protest.
