jan 1, 1867 - The Automobile - 1867 The Canadian automobile was invented by Henry Taylor. It was nicknamed the "steam buggy". Taylor's invention was overshadowed by the founder of Mercedes Benz, Karl Benz, who built a similar car in 1886.
