aug 27, 1928 - Kellogg-Braind Pact

Description:

Sponsored by the American and French governments, the Kellogg-Braind pact was a pact to promote world peace.
It was signed by most of the world's countries eventually and was only not signed by South American, Middle Eastern countries and Mongolia.
It stated that no country would ever go to war unless in self defence.
Although mostly unsuccessful as it failed to prevent the outbreak of the second world war, it was used to convict senior Nazis at the Nuremberg trials.
