However, he continued to drink heavily and, just two weeks after his return, Dahmer was arrested for drunk and disorderly conduct,[67] for which he was fined $60 and given a suspended 10-day jail sentence.[68] Dahmer's father tried unsuccessfully to wean his son off alcohol.
