Politically the citizens of the states were living in fear of communism and all radicals. A bombing on wall street killed 38 people where Italian radicals were involved. This atmosphere of fear lead to a change towards conservatism. Economically the new york stock exchange was still on the rise and it lead to everyone who was buying stocks to continue to make money, creating a period to be known as the roaring twenties. 1920-1929, USAAdded to timeline:
