The Indian act was a bill proposed in 1876 as a method of controlling and helping the indigenous population even though it had the opposite effect. The Indian act imposed a series of regulation about Natives, Their Practices and the land they lived on. It also created the residential schools which are infamous for the grotesque assimilation procedures that happened there.Overall I rate the Indian Act as a -2
