Description:

Description: Jim Crow laws were the state and local laws in the United States and they pushed for more white supremacy and targeted black people. All were enacted in the 1860s and above during the time of Reconstruction and after the war. They showed how some people still thought that people of color were second class citizens.
Causes: It was caused by the black codes and also white supremacists.
Effect: It was awful for people of color, as it belittled them and made them feel like second class citizens
