aug 9, 1988 - 1988: Civil Rights Restoration Act (In 1984 in Grove City v. Bell the Supreme Court ruled that organisations which received federal funds only had to be in compliance with the area of civil rights legislation for which they had received the money. The new Act said that all aspects of civil rights legislation had to be complied with before any funding could be given.)
