Great Britain was deep routed within the religion of Christianity and still is very Christian. Even though the official religion of Great Britain is Christianity; the nation allows religious freedom for all. Another main religion of Great Britain is the catholic religion. Within the country there are many communities of Hindu, Jewish, Muslim, and Sikh communities. There are small communities of Buddhist and other religions. Most of these religions come from the British colonization of certain countries where British soldiers converted or brought back with them. Each Isle of Britain has a main church: The Church of England, the Church of Wales, and the Church of Scotland. The only difference is the Church of Scotland is that they are Presbyterian. Just like America, Britain has become more diverse within the boundaries of religion but for a time anything other than Christianity was looked down on. In fact, there was a moment within the British history where the Queen wanted to learn the ways of the Hindu people and was frowned upon and attempted to be erased.
