Women priests were finally able to be ordained into the Church of England. The Act of Synod allowed women to be ordained a priest, the act was introduced in nineteen ninety-two and was not fully in action until nineteen ninety four. The Church of England has a major significance in Britain history. The Church of England was created by King Henry VIII in the 16th century and has played a major part in England since then. Many people felt it was against tradition and was going against the scripture. Although not everyone was not agreeing with this new change a lot of people supported it. A lot of women were excited to finally being welcomed into something they were told could never happen.
