Description:

The North Vietnamese lead an offensive on the Vietnamese New Year, breaking an agreed upon truce and catching the South Vietnamese completely off-guard. The North Vietnamese led a coordinated series of attacks on more than 100 towns, including the capital of South Vietnam. The North Vietnamese forces were pushed back by Westmoreland, but citizens in America began doubting whether the US should continue its involvement in the war. The Tet Offensive showed the American people how brutal the war was.
