apr 1, 1950 - Fender's First Ever Solid Guitar Body
Description:
Fender created the first ever solid body guitar, this means it was built without a sound box and relied on using electric pickup. The guitar was first manufactured in April where it was named Esquire, the guitar was pictured as black with a white scratch plate but most of the guitars were painted semi-transparent butter-scotch blonde and had a black scratch plate. The pickup on the guitar was a single coil pickup, these types of pickups are one of the popular designs.
