jan 1, 1941 - News Broadcast
Description:
In 1941, CBS made the first big attempt to make news broadcasts. The anchor, Richard Hubbell gave a 2:30 and a 7:30 news report every weekday. These broadcasts usually consisted of Hubbell reading a script, while the camera sometimes switched to a photograph or map. This was the start of news broadcasting that has now evolved into non-stop news reports. This means, if you have tv, you can watch the news almost whenever you want. This has allowed news to be communicated to whoever has a TV.
