Marconi sent and received his first radio signal in Italy in 1895. By 1899 he sent the first wireless signal across the English Channel and two years later received the letter "S", telegraphed from England to Newfoundland. Radio is widely used still today in 2017 but is not only for sending letters and words. Radio can now broadcast clear music, talk shows, news, and much more.Added to timeline:
