jun 4, 1961 - Vienna Summit
Description:
The summit between Khrushchev and Kennedy was an attempt to repair relations between the superpowers.
Kennedy came into the summit weakly, as the Bay of Pigs disaster had made him seem inexperienced and during political debate Khrushchev was said to have overpowered Kennedy.
However, on main discussion points of Berlin and Laos, Kennedy stood up and defended his position and as a result nothing of value was achieved at the conference.
