Description:
The Suez Canal is a canal connecting the Mediterranean and Red seas, and remains in place to this day. Such a construction was monuments back in the day, as it significantly reduced the time it would take for a European ship to reach Asian markets. While the first ship through was planned to be a French vessel, a cheeky British ship snuck through in the middle of thenight and claimed the honor for itself.
