aug 14, 1913 - Henry Ford and assembly line
Description:
Henry Ford invented the assembly to be used in factories and first applied it to his company, the Ford Motor company, to be used in the process of creating automobiles. Unlike previous methods of manufacturing, the assembly line allowed higher efficiency as one worker continuously worked on one component and then passed the next step onto the next worker down the line. This method revolutionized manufacturing across the world. (5.1)
