Description:

James Watt, along with John Roebuck, improved the previously invented steam engine by reducing the enormous amount of steam that was lost when using it. This would be a revolutionary invention worldwide, as it would improve the transportation of goods, services, and people tremendously. It would also lead to Watt improving the design even further, making it possible for factories to be located anywhere, not just near a body of water.
