Description:

Nationalist forces attacked the Communists in 1934. the Communists were forced to evacuated from Jiangxi. About 100,000 communists made their way on foot from Jiangxi to Shaanxi province in North Western China. They crossed 18 mountain ranges and 24 rovers, while the Nationalists chased them down with air crafts. Because it was a 6,000 mile trip, a lot of people died. The people who survived established their head-quarters in the isolated mountain town of Yan'an. Mao Zendong established himself as a leader.
