The Boxer Rebellion was when the empress, T’zu-Hsi, imprisoned her nephew and took control over China. She led people called Boxers on an anti-foreigner movement. The Boxer Rebellion showed a desire to keep traditional ways because the empress wanted foreign influence gone. The Boxer Rebellion was stopped when foreign nations sent armies to shut down the Boxers.
