Description:
Furious about Thaniel leaving her on their wedding night, she destroys the hotel room. She plans to run away because she wants to prove Mori that she can outsmart him. She leaves what appears to be a murder scene- blood on the sheets, rings thrown on the ground, drapes out of place- so that the police can occupy themselves. She runs to the train station because she needs to get the octopus, Mori's clockwork based off of random motions, because she knows he cannot predict random outcomes. On her route, she crosses paths with Mori, who follows her into the underground tunnels. She physically beats him up and rushes to Mori's apartment. Then, she sneaks in and finds the octopus and dashes for Matsumoto's apartment a few blocks away.
