Description:

Zekél V, voted king of Ascolla in the Third Treaty of Aurenia, falls ill, and is given three months left to live, permanently bedridden. Being without children, and fearing a second Succession Crisis, Zekél V summons the Royal Council to discuss a peaceful transfer to democracy similar to the system in (the Second Republic of) Ternev, but with a monarch still wielding some degree of power (his diary later revealed that he still hoped that he would recover, and did not want to yield all his power this short into his reign).

The Royal Council agrees to start writing up a plan to reform the country, organizing a make-shift parliament composed of people from all over the country and from all levels of society, though it would take a couple of months before the parliament managed to organize into a functioning organization due to the sudden formation.
