Description:

This event was to advocate the rights of African-Americans and was the event where Martin Luther King Jr gave his famous I Have a Dream speech. Around 250,000 people participated in the event.

This event raised international attention on the issue of racism and helped pass many anti-segregation acts to follow like the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
