Description: North's business and industries played a part huge in economics, while south relied on slaves to produce tobacco and cotton (agriculture economy). North factories were used for manufacturing goods in north no slaves needed. Machines produced products faster and new tools transformed northern farms. South had relied on agriculture and slave labor. Industrialization developed slower than in the North.
Immediate Impact: South feared the North would pass laws that will hurt their lifestyle (North’s economy flourished unlike Souths)-tariffs
