jan 1, 480 BC - Battle of Thermopylae

Description:

This time, the Persians try to invade by land, through Northern Greece. Most Northern Greek city states surrendered without a fight. Athens wanted to meet Persian Army while Sparta stays in southern Greece. Most of the Persian navy sunk, while on land, the phalanx of Greece blocked the narrow path(the isthmus) so the Persians couldn't use their numbers. But the Persians find out about the secret path. 300 Spartans/allies stayed so the Greeks could escape.
