aug 12, 1940 - Battle of Britain turned the tides of war in Europe

Description:

The Battle of Britain occurred in September of 1940. London was the main target of the German air force also known as Luftwaffe. These aircraft did constant air raids dropping bombs on Britain's Capital City. Britain then started working on a better air force of their own. They were preparing for the biggest plane fight in history. Britain couldn’t lose this fight because they knew if they did then Germany would have control over the ports of France. The British ended up being victorious in this fight, this prevented Germany from invading Britain and this was the first defeat for Hitler in World War Two.
