At 4:45 am on September 27th, 1939, Hitler and his 1.5 million troops invaded Poland along the 1700 mile border. The German Airforce also bombarded cities. This new war tactic was called Blitzkrieg. The idea behind it was that if you attack fast, hopefully, the enemy won’t have enough time to react and call for help. This was very important because of the example of a new war stratagy and started the War.
