This is important because the Holocaust was one of the biggest genocides in History. At the end of WWII Hitler had managed to kill 6 million Jewish people in his camps. The beginning of these murders gave Hitler the power he needed to hold this fear over peoples heads so that they would be able to live. This was important because as Hitler began to murder more and more people, the allied powers realized what a large threat Hitler was. This also was a large portion of what Hitler wanted to complete in World War II. Hitler believed that Jewish people were parasites on other peoples, and killing all the Jews was one of his main focuses.
