sep 10, 1917 - End of the Genocide

Description:

The genocide ended in 1917 and it has deeply impacted the world still today. After they lost there homes 90% of the Armenian population was gone from the surrounding area. Most of the women and children were forced out of there homes for the Muslim refugees from the war. Many of the children became orphans but they were lucky to have help from foreign missionaries. Others had to convert to Islam or they could have been killed or forced to leave the area. Today the Turkish government will not acknowledge that it was a genocide and instead was a solution to a national crisis instead. They will hovever admit to the deportartion and marches becasue they were in the intrests of national security.
