Description:
After WWI, there were not enough jobs for all the soldiers. This led to unsafe work conditions which led to a strike. Helen Armstrong led 2000 women along with the rest of Winnipeg. It ended in violence from mounted police, and is known as Bloody Sunday. Tommy Douglas witnessed Bloody Sunday, and came up with the idea of universal healthcare.
