Juno was the first spacecraft to encounter Jupiter. It was an American spacecraft which was launched on 5 August, 2011. It had three solar panels extending on the outside of it. It had science instruments including: a energetic-particle detector instrument, a ultraviolet spectrograph, a junoCam, a infrared auroral mapper, a plasma waves instrument, a microwave radiometer, a fluxgate magnetometer, a advanced stellar compass, a scalar helium magnetometer, and a gravity science experiment.
