jan 2, 1978 - Lexicon 224

Description:

Lexicon is an American company that engineers, manufactures, and markets audio equipment. They were one of the first to create a digital reverb unit with their 1978 model the 224. The Lexicon 224 is an early digital reverb that was well known for its spacey, extra-long decays. The 224 reverberation system had a console-top controller with a four-Rackspace brain, two inputs, four outputs and interchangeable programs to simulate chambers, plates and rooms. It was also half the price of EMT’s 250 meaning it was also available to small production companies.
