Description:

Louis XVI was tried and found guilty for treason against the new republic of France, mainly because of his attempt to escape France and support Austria in the war. He was sent to the guillotine for his crimes. The execution of Louis XVI was not fully supported by all of France and led to the most violent point of the revolution known as the Reign of Terror.
