Description:

It was shortly after the battle of Cumorah that Mormon made his last entry in the abridgment that he was making. He had lived to see the aftermath of the battle and put in a final message to the Lamanites of the last days.

Once this was done he gave the records to his son Moroni, instructing him on what was needed to finish the record.
