Description:
After they were driven from Desolation the Nephites gathered to the city of Boaz. We are not told the location or proximity of the city, but it is here that the Nephites chose to make their stand.
The first time the Lamanites came against the city the Nephites stood against them with boldness and repulsed the attack. The Lamanites were not driven back, but they also did not gain the victory.
The second time the Lamanites came against the city they gained the victory and slaughtered the Nephites by the thousands. Many Nephites fled the city, and the women and children that were taken prisoner were once again sacrificed to idols.
