Description:
When Mormon received the epistle of the Lamanite King he ordered his armies to take up a position on their southern border, in the Land of Desolation. There was a city there, known as the City of Desolation. This land was at the narrow neck of land that separated the Land North from the Land South. Here Mormon deployed his armies and entrenched in, awaiting the coming Lamanite Attack. The hope was to stop the Lamanites here so that they could not get into the lands of the Nephites.
