Description:

Oct 25-Dec 15: After a coup in Grenada threw the country into turmoil, President Reagan authorized an invasion to stop the “Soviet-Cuban militarization of the Caribbean”. The invasion was justified by the notion that Soviet forces were using a U.S.-Canadian built airstrip to launch potential attacks. Meeting little resistance, the invasion was a success and the control of the country was returned to British rule.
