the first massive uprising under the Islamic Republic Regime, and the most widespread and violent public protests to occur in Iran since the Iranian Revolution was the Iranian student protests, that occurred in July 1999. Due to the Islamic violent attack on Tehran University's student dormitory on July 9th, 1999, The student protest grew up. In which numerous students were seriously injured and several died.

Approximately 50,000 students protested in Tehran, and thousands more joined from various Universities across Iran. Over the next proceeding attack. Against the reformist and Supreme Leader Khamenei. The main demand of the student protester's called for the replacement of the Islamic Republic with a government that supports the ideals of secular democracy. this democracy means a government that respects the citizens' variety of religious practices, beliefs, and traditions.
