mar 1, 1995 - The US imposes sanctions

Description:

In 1995, United States President, Bill Clinton, expanded U.S. sanctions against Iran. Iran was still known as the state sponsor of terrorism and was pursuing weapons of mass destruction such as nuclear arms and was seeking enmity to the Middle East. President Clinton took this action during the widespread of fear. He prohibited all involvements of Americans with the Iranian petroleum industry. Two years later, 1997, he imposed and banned all American investment in Iran, as well as the U.S. trade that remained with the country. Clinton also encouraged other countries to do the same.
