Description:

Britain was forcing trade restrictions on the U.S. and was making U.S. citizens join the British Royal Army so President Madison declared war on Britain. The War ended in a stalemate and the treaty of Ghent was signed on December 24, 1814, returning all territoriy to the two sides.
