Although it has beginnings in the late 19th century. The Boom for records began in the 1940s. When the Music business grew and more malleable materials where used. The first use of vinyl in Records was for creating 12” discs to send over to US soldiers during the Second World War. Shellac discs soon became outdated and all records by the end of the 40s began using the plastic vinyl materials and 77 Rpm became standard
