jun 4, 1530 - The Diet of Augsburg held
Description:
The Diet of Augsburg was an assembly held in 1530 in Augsburg, Germany held by Charles V. It was called to address the growing religious divisions within the empire. The emperor eventually made an unrealistic order for all Lutherans to revert to Catholicism. This caused the Lutherans to respond with the Augsburg confession and temporarily stalemated Charles V.
