Description:
When Mormon finally met the Lamanites in battle his armies were very frightened of them. It does not say exactly why, but it is likely that they once again had marked themselves in blood and war paint to give themselves a terrible appearance.
Whatever the reason, the Nephite armies refused to engage them at this time, and instead fled into the north countries.
