Mormon, being of a sober mind, showed himself faithful, and at the age of 15 he was visited by God and knew of himself the joys and the goodness of Christ.
After having such a marvelous experience Mormon set out to preach to the people. Even though he was only 15 years old he seems to have had a great zeal for sharing the gospel with his people. However, God would not let him preach to the people. They had willfully rebelled and so God shut Mormon’s mouth that he could not preach to the people.
