oct 24, 29 - New Secret Combination
Description:
There were enough of the people that believed and supported the prophets that when they found they had been killed they started to complain. In response Lachoneus ordered an investigation and soon a number of judges were arrested for the murders.
The rest of those who had conspired to kill the prophets now banded together in secret opposition to Lachoneus. In this new secret combination they formed two main plans. First, to free their friends from the grasp of the law; and second, to establish the Chief Judge and establish a King over the people.
It should be understood that this new band were not Gadianton Robbers. They were never called by this name, nor were they associated with the previous two groups. They were likely composed of number of men who had been a part of the Gadianton Robbers, but this was not a resurgance of the old band. It was a new Secret Combination.
