Description:
After the trials of the Robbers had been completed the people once again felt safe to return to the lands. The Robbers who had repented were also granted land for an inheritance. Most seem to have returned to the lands of their families, but with all the destruction that the war caused there was likely some lands that no longer had a living owner, and these lands would have been given to those who needed land, or didn’t want to return to where the families had been.
And interesting note here: Many of the Robbers had been Lamanites. While the rest of the Lamanites had had the curse removed, those among the Robbers had not. Many of these Lamanites repented and when the people returned to the land they sought to return to the ancestral land of the Lamanites, and to once again be called Lamanites.
While the war lasted there had been no people identified as Lamanites, and so, for about six or seven years the Lamanites had ceased to exist. Now, with the repentant Robbers returning to their ancestral land, there was one again Lamanites.
