Description:

Robert E. Lee was a skilled tactician who towards the second half of the Civil War lead the Confederate army into many unexpected wins. Although Lee was a good army leader the Union's forces overwhelmed his army and eventually lead to Lee’s losses at the battle of Antietam and Gettysburg. These two losses lead to Lee surrendering his army to the Union thus ending the Civil War.
