jun 28, 1919 - Treaty of Versailles Begins

Description:

France and Britain had agreed that Italy would be given the Adriatic coast at the end of the war so when Vittorio Orlando, prime minister of Italy arrived at Versailles, he expected France and Britain to keep their promise. However, Italy was given the two small areas of Istria and the South Tirol. The Adriatic coast was made part of a new country called Yugoslavia, which included Serbia and Bosnia. Italy was unfairly short-ended in this deal, resulting in them switching sides of the of the forces.
