He was a French Physicist and the first person to discover evidence about radioactivity. He worked with Marie and Pierre Cirie. Bequerel's discovery of spontaneous radioactivity is a famous example of Serendipity. He worked on the plane polarization of light, with the Phenomenon of phosphorescence and absorción of light by Crystals. Becquerel had long been interested in Phosphorescence, the emission of light in one color following a body's exposure to light of another color.
